About

Investor, entrepreneur and strategic operator.

A commercial, transactional and operating background, now applied to established businesses in Northern Illinois.

Henry Parkin is based in Glencoe, Illinois, on Chicago’s North Shore. He has experience supporting and executing transactions with an aggregate value exceeding £65 million, and is the founder of ConfirmComply, a developing permissioned compliance network for complex, regulated markets.

The combination of transaction and operating work is deliberate. Transaction experience without operating experience tends to produce clean deals and difficult first years; operating experience without transaction experience tends to produce well-run businesses that struggle at the point of ownership change. Succession is exactly where the two meet.

His focus is Northern Illinois: established B2B, technical and essential-service companies, many built over decades, whose owners face a succession question with no obvious answer. The intention is to help take a sound business to its next stage and develop it over a long horizon.

Henry holds a master’s degree from the London School of Economics, alongside programme-management and technology-focused qualifications, including software testing and cyber security.

Activity

Build, acquire, partner.

Build

Creating and developing businesses in complex and regulated markets. Henry is the founder of ConfirmComply, a developing permissioned compliance network that reduces repeated onboarding and verification of the same compliance facts across complex supply chains.

Acquire

Investing in established, profitable businesses with durable demand and capable people, and developing them for the long term. The search is deliberately regional: Northern Illinois B2B, technical and essential-service companies whose owners are weighing succession.

Partner

Working with owners and management teams on aligned transitions, staged outcomes and long-term value creation, separating the questions of ownership, economics and involvement rather than collapsing them into one.
